Bush Assassination "Could Have Been Done with Ease"
Security concerns were heightened Wednesday when the mass circulation Daily Mirror newspaper, in a 15-page scoop, showed how it got one of its reporters inside Buckingham Palace for two months posing as a royal servant.
The Mirror said Ryan Parry had secured a job as a footman using bogus references, and that he had only left the palace, in central London, after Bush arrived there Tuesday evening.
"Had I been a terrorist intent on assassinating the queen or [Bush], I could have done so with absolute ease," Parry wrote.
The palace launched an urgent investigation, but White House spokeswoman Claire Buchan told reporters: "We have every confidence in the British security."
